anne@risuncorp.comI am Anne, the leader of Sales and Marketing Team in Risun. As a mother and entrepreneur, I keep trying to strike a balance between family and work. My commitment to both has shaped Risun's culture and customer-centric excellence in every endeavor.
Names behind ‘Risun’
I often liken Risun to the rising sun of the morning—full of potential and the promise of endless growth. The Chinese name of our company is "Rui Yang," which translates to Risun in English. This "Rui" element is deeply personal to me. I've infused this part of my identity into the names of my most cherished treasures: my daughter, Rui Si (Rayce) and my son, Rui En (Ryan).
Lighting the Path: A Journey in LED Industry
My journey into the world of international trade began in college. I was captivated by the endless possibilities this major offered. Immediately after graduating in 2010, I dived into the role of a salesperson in the export department. At that time, the LED lighting industry was budding, and I was enthralled by its novelty.
My passion led me to numerous lighting fairs, both locally in China and abroad, from the LFI in various U.S. cities, Toronto in Canada, Sant Polo in Brazil, Frankfurt in Germany, to Bangkok in Thailand.
To ensure I stayed at the forefront of the industry, I made it a point to personally visit our lighting manufacturer vendors and customers. This hands-on approach has always been fueled by my dedication and passion for the lighting business—a career I'm committed to for life. I'm proud to say Risun has flourished rapidly, thanks to a devoted team by my side.
Balancing Business and Family: A Modern Entrepreneur's Tale
The birth of my daughter, Rayce, marked the inception of my own business. As a new mother, I found it challenging to adhere to traditional office hours, especially with Rayce needing me in the mornings. Drawing from my experience as a mom of two kids, I recognized the importance of flexibility. Hence, at Risun, I've implemented flexible working hours—a practice uncommon in most Chinese firms. Employees can choose their 8.5-hour work window anytime between 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Looking ahead, as my children grow, I'm keen on returning to academia. My recent interest in psychology beckons, and I believe studying it will enrich both my personal life and professional career. After all, sales isn't just about offering products or services—it's about connecting with people.
